Congratulations to Dr Ane Appelt, who will give the Douglas Lea Lecture at the United Kingdom Imaging & Oncology Congress (UKIO) in June 2024. The lecture was established in 1948 as a memorial to commemorate the work of Dr Douglas Lea, and focuses on physics applied to biology, if possible relating to the actions of radiation on living cells – radiobiology. The title of Dr Appelt’s talk is “Reirradiation – our next radiotherapy frontier“. Reirradiation is a key theme of RadNet leeds, a theme of which Dr Appelt is playing a key role.
